Tricky Workplace Situation Handled
- The body language first escalated and then de-escalated,, When we need to share difficult news to patient, its our body's response on how to communicate the same to them. What will be the reaction of the patient. Once we understand how to communicate then it de escalated
- Non verbal signals are picked up very easily by the patients and it helps in shaping their perception about the situation. it give them a cue as to what's happening and according they respond
- I would create Awareness about this skill by sharing information on this . After that it will share the process on what's needs to be done so that this skill can be learned and practiced by the mentee
- Give advice or help coworkers who are struggling to deal with a situation or patient.
- Take whatever steps are necessary to solve your situation first before turning to management. This creates lack of trust between co-workers
- Not everyone gets along very well. When talking to each other or sharing ideas, we must be open-minded and respect each other’s views.
- Offer to take your co-workers out for lunch or a drink and just chat with them. You can also do this after work so everyone is relaxed.
- Put the team’s interests above your own
- Be humble. See your co-worker’s success as your own. They will do the same for you in the future.
- Someone from your team might have better knowledge or approach to a situation or a problem. By asking for their help, you are showing that you are truly a team player.
- If you have an issue with a co-worker, try to address it personally and respectfully. Don’t become a gossipmonger as it creates a very toxic work environment. Also, if there are people who are spreading gossip, don’t get involved.

- Identify your unconscious bias. Think of a time when you acted on your bias. When was that, what kind of situation were you in, and why did you act that way?
- Observe your trigger points. When do you act on your bias? Is it when you are feeling anxious? When you are around a certain group of people ? When you are in meetings? Write down a list of events when this happened to learn more about situations, people, and types of moods that get triggered.
- Learn to take a moment before making these snap judgments and actions. Take a deep breath.
- Start to do things differently. Avoid being trapped by your irrational actions. Actively work on silencing your unconscious bias. Get to know people you would usually avoid, get out of your comfort zone, try to learn about people from different backgrounds and cultures.
- 8 I list down the task to be done for the day. I do my as per planning. In the evening ,I review and reflect what's working and what's not working and then taking steps to improve the outcomes
- Disciple helps us to focus on what's important and what necessary to do to get our work done. Its a Habit which helps to be on track and achieve our goals in time bound manner. Both are important skills to help us achieve our goals
- If not managed properly, then will not achieve the task or work for the day. Also ,we may get a sense on not accomplishing anything for the day. Also work may pile up for next day
- I would suggest that to be in awareness state and then identify the triggers which cause us to react in certain manner and then take a deep breath and being in observer mode, to reflect on it. If it is correct ,then no need to change anything and if it is not correct ,then change as per desired outcome
