- By having a routine, By making deliberate choices like spending time with kids/family, By being physically fit, By saying no to certain requests if they aren't time critical or unimportant. By maintaining an internal radar on what sort of balance 'makes you contended and energised'.
- First you feel energised, you are holistically contended as a person, you focus better on tasks on hand. You don't feel stressed and overwhelmed.
- Define the problem, Put it in perspective, Choose your battles (where can you make a real difference), Pick your solution (what might/might not work), Commit.
- Go for a long walk, spend time with nature, work out, do art, play with kids.
- I would begin by asking them to define any problems that are bothering them and which they are comfortable sharing. After that I will walk them the 4 step process of putting it into perspective, choosing the right battles, picking a solution and committing to implementing the same. A few weeks later I would have a follow up on this. I feel there is nothing more effective that experiential learning. Once you see the benefits or working through problems, you will start implementing the same with other problems that happen in the future too.
