Tricky Workplace Situation Handled
- As a manager, I would understand what are my own shortcomings are, where my team fails to understand me. I would listen to the team first and clarify their doubts and set clear expectations. The team is one. Their shortcomings are my own shortcomings. So to the CEO I would present it as a team effort but at the same time would take ownership of the mistakes. The credit is given to the team for their work. The Key things here, 1. Understand the team's pain point and challenges. 2. Listen and explain the expectations clearly. 3. Take ownership of the mistakes. 4. Encourage and motivate the team.
- Leaders should be 1. Transparent, 2. Humble, 3. Should have no ego. Humility is a strength. It is the willingness to display that you are a human, and to be humble and authentic at all times. Humility can be shown by being authentic and by presenting true integrity to others.

- We lose focus, trust, and it creates a communication barrier among the employees and the leadership as well as between the customers and the company. The company achieves its vision by following its values. Every action, task, as well as the product, is set by the belief in the values set by the organization. If that is not followed, the entire structure falls apart. Values set by the company helps the leadership and the employees to work towards the set goal. If these values are not reflected in our communication and our actions, then it not only creates a mistrust between the customers and the brand, but also creates a loss of faith, overall in the brand. A lot of companies lose a lot more from employees leaving to not being able to achieve the set goals purely because their actions are not reflecting the values they preach.

- Values are taught by providing the necessary directions in their daily task. It always start with honest communication between the parties involved. Encouraging the mentee to truly listen to his audience. There is a simple exercise I follow - Tell the team to sit and vision their long term goal. What is it that they would want to achieve 20 years down the line. How do they envision the company as well their personal self. Once that is jotted down and has been finalized after multiple back and forth within the team, I personally to put the startups founders in front of their customers and team members where they can test the values in practical world and understand how and what they are communicating is reflected by the customers. This is the exercise we have conducted with various startup founders and saw the results right away. Those who got the negative feedback and were discouraged, were then motivated, and shown the right way to create the experience. And repeated the exercise. The end result was a strong team of leaders set out to create a difference with core belief in themselves and in their ideas and most importantly with a support of the customers.
- In a simple sentence - The company structure falls apart. Values are a core of any company culture; from it's technology to its customers. Not abiding by your own values creates conflicts within the company environment, creates mistrust between the team members and most importantly impacts the company's growth. Any leader, or each leader should truly listen to their employees, show empathy and should, at all times, build trust within the team. All of this should be reflected by the leaders' actions, and not just in words.
- Joan, didn't listen a word. She completely stopped the employee 2 from sharing their thoughts. She hasn't analyzed the European market or the way the European team conducts training. Also, she hasn't seen the video shared by employee 1. Listening to the team members in any meeting is a basic necessity for the team to succeed overall.
- I would watch the video shared by the team first. and then come back with what is missing. I would listen to both the employees and try to create a collaborative environment. Also, ask them how we can improve our standards, and explore how the two teams can learn from each other.
- 100% Our employees are the ones speaking with customers on a daily basis, handling the nitty-gritties of work. And most importantly, they truly understand the efforts behind each task and the time it takes to accomplish it. Their feedback helps the company grow.

- With the past experience in the consulting field and being an entrepreneur in Kregzo, I believe it is important to create a practical environment for the trainees to understand the importance of listening to their team members and employees effectively. Recently we conducted a feedback survey with our team members, where we asked our interns to participate as well. It was quite surprising as well as exciting to hear what our interns had to say. Once we implemented their suggestions we saw a growth of 4% on our monthly activity. There are a multiple examples like this which are both good and bad. One of the key things I'll incorporate in my training is to show them the results and create exercises that give results, to help understand the concept better.
- As a Mentor, the key thing I would tell the mentees is that - life is a learning journey, in today's era a kid is more knowledgeable than most adults. Never look down on anyone as each human out there can teach you something that will help you grow. A creative way to understand this is - to find 5 people who are much much younger than you, and you would not approach them normally or hesitate to approach them and just simply talk to them, ask about their experience, their journey, understand their life lessons. At the end of it, ask them what piece of advice they would give you. In my own startup, all team members are younger than me. The amount of things I learn by simply interacting with them is unquantifiable. They are eager to teach me something if I don't know. Create a bond with people where they respect you and don't hesitate to reach out to you.
